A well-coordinated offensive fire attack by 50 LAFD firefighters took just 28 minutes to extinguish stubborn flames within a vacant & boarded 2,570 square-foot in 1 story craftsman-style home with attic conversion built in 1915. No injury. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1108; 09:03PM; 417 E Lanzit Av; https://bit.ly/2ywMr5W; Green Meadows; Fire was burning through (approx.) the first 50 feet of the building. 34 LAFD firefighters started with a transitional attack and moved to an offensive water assault to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings. Firefighters extinguished the flames in 29 minutes. No occupants found inside. No reported injuries. Companies located a small fire just inside the front door. 32 firefighters quickly extinguished the fire in 21 minutes. No reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
