Crews faced a stubborn attic fire in addition to execessive storage conditions inside. Firefighters made their way through to reach the interior fire while the roof ventilation group and additional outside hand lines hit the attic fire. Resources will remain on scene to continue hitting any hot spots and conducting overhaul operations. No injuries reported. Cause and $ loss TBD. The staff ensured it suffered no injuries and secured the horse in it's stall. The SMART team response is cancelled. The (adult female) patient is being packaged and will be hoisted into the air ambulance for transport momentarily. A hoist operation is planned to safely extract and transport the patient. The horse ran off and location is unknown at this time. The Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team (SMART) from LA Animal Services was activated for the horse rescue/care.
