IF YOU SEE SOMEONE ACTING SUSPICIOUS, OR IN THE ACT OF STARTING A FIRE, DIAL 911.

The Arson section of the Los Angeles Fire Department is dedicated to resolving crimes involving the intentional and/or illegal setting of fire in the City.

To obtain a Fire Report from the Los Angeles Fire Department, please call (213) 893-9800.

The United States Fire Administration also provides superb Arson Prevention Information.

The National Fire Data Center offers some interesting statistics from the National Fire Incident Reporting System. Specific fire loss and statistical information is also available for State & Metropolitan Areas in the USA.

Another useful on-line resource is the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

The 15th Edition of Fire in the United States offers a truly comprehensive look at our nation's fire and arson problem. To view this well footnoted 214-page document, you must have free Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer.

We hope to soon profile the efforts of our Arson Investigators, most of whom are members of the California Conference of Arson Investigators and the International Association of Arson Investigators.
