Update - #AlhambraFire Major Emergency Structure Fire; INC#1255; 06:50PM; 4900 E Alhambra Av; https://bit.ly/3mbGvod; El Sereno; 90 minutes into the still defensive firefight, the relentless efforts of now 146 LAFD personnel joined by LACoFD, have been successful in holding the flames to a 200' x 200' one-story commercial building that in recent years had also served as a roller derby auditorium. Crews located one patient (adult female) beyond medical help and determined death on scene. This is now a law enforcement investigation and questions are referred to LAPD Inc# 2499. The structural integrity of the building is compromised with cracks and separation in more than one wall. While the bulk of the fire is extinguished, this incident will be active for several hours. There are no injuries reported. LAFD Arson section is responding for the investigation per protocol. The incident remains at the Greater Alarm status. No further information.
